Thanks, Wyatt! Only thing I’d add is, read with Gen. 3:15 in mind. Watch out for types of Christ, the Serpent, and the Church. For example, David is a type of Christ, Goliath is a type of the Serpent, and the Israelite warriors who are too fearful and weak to fight (until after David defeats Goliath) point to us, the Church. What say you?
Super helpful as I read 1-2 Samuel slowly with a brother! So true about the poems! Interesting how 1-2 Samuel are have poems that break them up! Thank you.
I'd like to know why would God enable me to create. In the bible, do the people make scripture or does the scripture contain the stories of the people who are in the bible. I know that the divine author of scripture is the Holy Spirit and He uses human authors like the psalmists, Moses, the apostles to create doctrine, and the ones that walked with Jesus for three and l/2 years, as you said of the gospel writers. When I speak the word (biblical scripture), God creates. I am a christian. So is it accurate to say that one in the word can speak the word and create? Like, for example, Christ Jesus who is the Word of God according to John chapter 1 and Revelation chapter 19, spoke the written word of the Old Testament. He quoted it often in his teachings which became the New Testament. Why would God allow me to create?

Yes, and note how Hannah’s begins Samuel and David’s psalms end it
Yes. So good. I'm feasting on this wonderful book! I had not given attention to 1-2 Samuel as much as I had Exodus or Judges.
