Carl Trueman makes a few observations in his book, “Histories and Fallacies” that relate to the topic of historical knowledge.
One, the past is a foreign country. Second, history is necessarily selective, and this selectivity is shaped by the historian. Third, objectivity is not neutrality. Yet most historians would, he believes, both acknowledge the biased nature of the history they write and also maintain that they aspire to be objective in what they do.
Every prophesy that has been fulfilled , has been fulfilled literally.
Our mind jumps immediately to the prophecies regarding Jesus. But that is also true of Israel. There are prophecies yet to be fulfilled in the book of Revelation. There are also prophecies yet to be fulfilled regarding Israel, also in Revelation.
We can trust the literal historical evidence of the past provided by the Bible because it is God who provided it. Wellhausen didn’t write it. I believe it was people like those that came up the idea of a “Q’ source for the Gospels. There is absolutely no evidence from the past from any church father, nor is there any hint of it in the Bible. That mess was made up by men.
But there are outside sources that confirmed the past. Sometimes your best witnesses are hostile witnesses like Tacitus.
People (Biblical that are so called scholars that are Christians) who are currently trying to disprove that the Exodus actually happened. Good luck with that. Every church and Bible need to close tomorrow along with every synagogue if you can’t accept the past found in the Bible.
Maybe this will help…
The Triune God is outside of time. God created space, TIME and matter in six days.
The angels are created beings are outside of time, but they do not die until the millennium when they are extinguished during the Millennium.
Humans are also created beings, but we are created in God’s image.
Angels had one shot at following God it seems to me. 1/3 did not.
During this time of our lives angels have more power than humans. But later we will judge the evil angels during the millennium. At the end of the Millennium time (human history) ends.
Then the end will come.
But humans have a lifetime to receive Christ and become a child of God forever.
The denarius has the same value no matter what TIME it is given to a believer.

Hello there Wyatt.
I’ve been seeing your posts for a few weeks now, very interesting, thank you.
I thought you may be interested in what I share; a philosophical look into obscure historic books, like travel guides and geographies.
My latest piece is regarding a particular voyage, and the discovery of giants:
