I'm currently reading Institutes but find it a bit cumbersome and I have to look up lots of words because Calvin has a vocabulary like I've never seen! A more readable version is being produced and hopefully will be available this year. Thanks for the list...I'll be jumping on these books as soon as I finish my current list.

I'm glad I've read Epictetus at least. Just two questions: Is it worth buying these books and studying them? I assume yes.
And for Calvin: I saw the massive collection of his Institutes in a store. Is it worth reading all of it?

Love the section on Epictetus. Totally agree on finding and valuing lived wisdom. I find it complements the scriptures in a lot of ways.
